Thomas was a author and scribe who devoted his life to public ministry. He copied the Bible no fewer than four times and one of the copies is preserved at Darmstadt, Germany.

He is best known for “The Imitation of Christ.” A Christian book on devotion.

This book has been published more often and read more widely than any other book in history except for the Bible.

Amazing.

Grace to you.

Oct.4/17 – “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill

ErieauChurch copyWorldly success is often measured with money, possessions, and status. If you work hard you can be anything you want to be. NOT. You can be the best in the world. NOT. You can be master of your own destiny. NOT.

Hope is knowing success is the ratio of talents used to talents received. God given talents.

Define success by The Word not by the World.

The parable of the talents explains it best. Matthew 25:14-30.

Grace to you.

We all fall short. We all have regrets. We all want to end well.

Choices. We all have them. We all make them.

We all have a mission. We all have freedom of choice.

“The best use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts it.” -Henry James

Sept.6/17 – “Prayer is like asking for rain. Faith is like carrying an umbrella.” – unknown

Have you ever been a doubting Thomas?

I like the way gotquestions.org tells the story of the disciple Thomas and his faith.

“When Thomas heard the stories of the resurrection, he wouldn’t believe them until he saw Jesus with his own two eyes. Jesus accommodated Thomas’ lack of faith by making an appearance to him and allowing him to see and touch Him. Thomas responds in worship, and Jesus says to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Faith is believing the Word of God and acting upon it, not responding to our perceptions.

Grace to you.
