Jan.11 – The most important trip you can make is meeting someone halfway. Henry Boyle

Cmeetsomeonehalfway

Henry Boyle was a politician in the eighteenth century. His quote sounds good and probably won him some votes at that time. His sincereity was proven by his actions to his constituents.

Where’s the Hope?  I believe meeting halfway is the minimal effort we should give each other. Ideally I should always want to give over and above, but I reason and find excuses to be stingy when I could do more. Then I’m convicted and realize I’m being prideful  and remind myself to treat others the way I want to be treated.

On the other hand our spiritual life shouldn’t be given a halfway effort.

“God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings.”  1 Peter 4:10 (LB)

Don’t be stingy with your blessings! Meet everyone more than halfway!

Grace be with you.
