Nov.30: “We should not judge people by their peak of excellence; but by the distance they have travelled from the point where they started.” – Henry Ward Beecher

Where’s the Hope? I often pass judgement without thinking. Sometimes I expect more than I could possibly do myself. Hardly fair. My sinful nature.

I remember talking with a company rep and getting defensive and angry for their negative billing protocol. You know the fine print that no one reads that says we’ll give you all these extra channels and will start billing you unless you call to cancel. UGH!!!

Then I was convicted.. …and reminded that the person I was communicating with was simply hired to  answer the phone and had a script to follow in front of them. I was talking to the “buffer” who didn’t have a say or opinion, was sitting in a room in India with hundreds of others just trying to do their job and earn a living.

When that little voice/thought tells you to do something, do it! For me it’s the Holy Spirit guiding me along the pathway of life. When I ignore it and go on my own feelings and all knowing attitude, I always have to pull my foot out of my mouth. With regrets, guilt, apologies, I can tell you it’s much easier to trust and obey.

Let the Spirit be your buffer!

They include- Nurse, wife, mother, florist, nana, writer, custodian, and now blogger. With these vocations have come many life experiences. I love catchy words and phrases. They are easy to remember and when shared can be a source of encouragement and hope. The meanings are not new their counterparts can be found in the reliable book of life, the Bible. We were made for community so let's build each other up with hope and encouragment.
