Want to scratch the surface for hope?
We are all driven by something. There are lots of reasons but I like how author Rick Warren author of “The Purpose Driven Life” mentions the most common, which are guilt, resentment, anger, fear, materialism, peer pressure, self worth, or materialism.
Have you ever poured your efforts into something that you think will make you happy? Only to find it is short lived because something else becomes your new want. We are continually bombarded with media ads telling us we deserve this, you need to have that, because you know you deserve it. Most of us have a default setting of selfishness.
“You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 (TEV)
Don’t keep pouring your efforts into something non productive and selfish. We need to ask ourselves who are we serving?
