Nov.18/20 – One person with a dream is equal to ninety-nine who only have an interest.

DreamInterest

Have you ever had an idea maybe even a dream of an endeavour or project you wanted to attain and develop? Only to have it fail and sometimes not even get off the ground? It can be hard to accept and often we give up all together. One may say it wasn’t meant to be, you had the wrong people, or blame it on this or that. I found I’ve had to ask myself whose will is it anyway? Sometimes it turns out differently, maybe not as grandiose as you projected, but still a similar idea. It works out the way it’s supposed to in the long run. Not always our desire but I find it turns out for the best. Although it’s definitely more clear looking back with a 20/20 view.

Pray about it.

Lord, plant Your dream in my heart and give me Your desire to follow it to completion. Amen.

Peace to you.

Nov.11/20 – The best inheritance a father can leave his children is a good example.

inheritance

Today remember those who fought and died for our freedom.

As ye know how: we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children.                                                                       1 Thessalonians 2:11

I like be in control of my circumstances and the outcome, but that isn’t my job and so frustration, and sometimes anger sets in when things don’t go as planned. Just as a father disciplines his children, so does our heavenly Father for us. I’m reminded that he can turn any disappointment into a blessing. It may not feel so at the time but can with endurance and faith things work out for the best.

Peace to you.

Nov. 4/20 – The measure of a man is not how great his faith is but how great his love is.

And now three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.                                                                                                                                          1 Corinthians 13:13

Don’t let anyone rob your peace. I know easier said than done. From experience it can fester and rule your day to day life. Even when I thought enough time had passed and I thought I had forgot, it just took a small trigger like hearing their name to have it erupt and disrupt my happiness. Pray for your enemies, forgive, not easy but you’ll be surprised that they no longer rob your peace. Let it go. Be healthy.

Peace to you.

Oct. 12/20 – We keep the best of what we give away. Give Thanks.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.                                                                                                                                                       2 Corinthians 8:

Sept. 30/20 – Of all the things you wear; your expression is the most important.

wearExpression

A happy heart makes the face cheerful……..                                                 Proverbs 15:13

When I used to visit clients there were days I did not feel overly happy or positive. You know all the things that can go wrong when trying to get yourself and your family off to a good start for the day, and it seems no one is contributing to that effort. I would paste a smile on my face and visit my clients with a positive greeting and I was always pleasantly surprised how that would help turn around my mood. Try it you’ll like it

Peace to you.

Sept. 16/20 – An admission of error is a sign of strength rather than a weakness.

admissionOfError

Father; give me the courage to admit when I am wrong and then to go on living in your freedom. Amen.

Not always easy for me, but the more I admit and apologize the easier it gets and often a load is lifted. Thank you Lord.

Peace to you.

Show me the path where i should go, O Lord point out the right road for me to walk.                                                                                                                                            Psalm 25:4

Sept.4/20 – Kindness is a language the dumb can speak, and the deaf can hear and understand. – Christian Bovee

KindnessLanguage copy

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.                                                                                                                                                                         Proverbs 15:1

In a personal situation when i feel attacked or think I need to make myself heard, my volume can get loud  and the situation worsens without a doubt. If I can keep calm and don’t raise my voice the situation often diffuses and never escalades. I have to remind myself to be gentle with my words. The tongue can be a dangerous hurtful weapon.

Peace to you.
